Department of Homeland Security releases SBIR pre-solicitation

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science & Technology (S&T) Directorate invites small business concerns to submit proposals under this Solicitation for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program. Small business concerns with the capability to conduct research or research and development (R/R&D) in any of the homeland security-related topic areas described below, and to commercialize the results of that R/R&D are encouraged to participate.

H-SB010.1-005 Synthetic Biometrics
H-SB010.1-006 GPS Resolution in Denied Location (GRIDLOC)

Important dates:

· November 2, 2009: Pre-release issued
· November 18, 2009: Full Solicitation issued
· November 18, 2009 through January 4, 2010: Phase I Proposals Submitted and Accepted
· January 4, 2010: Deadline for Submission of Phase I Proposals is 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
